Biomass & Abundance Metrics
Abundance, concentration, species richness, and biovolume over time
Total Abundance: The total count of all organisms detected in the sample.
Concentration: Number of organisms per milliliter of seawater, indicating plankton density.
Species Richness: The total number of different species present, a measure of biodiversity.
Biovolume: Total volume of organisms per milliliter, an indicator of biomass (×10⁶ μm³/mL).
